Reimagining peacebuilding invites us to expand the boundaries of what we understand as peace. It means building a diverse community of peacebuilders and activists who combine local and global experiences to promote collective impact, equitable financing, and link peace to global agendas.
My journey to Reimagine has been shaped by over 18 years of experience in peacebuilding, citizen engagement, corporate social responsibility, and the promotion of sustainable development and human rights in Colombia. I have dedicated my career to understanding and addressing the complexities of conflict and coexistence in diverse contexts. As the Director of the Peacebuilding Group at Fundación Ideas para la Paz, I lead initiatives that produce knowledge, support civil society, and promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), focusing on fostering sustainable peace across diverse communities.
My experience includes coordinating citizen participation in Colombia’s peace dialogues, promoting sustainable development in the extractive sector, and developing strategies to bridge divides between communities and companies. My work has focused on how businesses can move beyond responsibility to become active agents of social transformation, as well as the critical role of local wisdom and participatory mechanisms in building inclusive processes.
To the Reimagine peacebuilding community, I bring my passion for creating spaces where diverse voices can converge to challenge conventional approaches to peace. I bring a deep understanding of how diverse actors—businesses, indigenous and rural communities, and civil society—can collaborate to create lasting peace In Reimagine, I see an opportunity not only to share these lessons but also to learn from others, enriching the collective impact we can achieve together.
